didnotdoitforthevines: (Just one of those days eh)

Others have gone looking for food since they all woke up, but no one's gone for water just yet - so Korra's taking it on herself to do it. Being able to bend things will make it a little easier, though.

The first order of business was containers. Her initial idea was to try and make earth ones, but that wouldn't really go over too well, and would likely turn to mud-soup after a short while. So a good deal of time was spent searching around Angie for workable metal. Not much was turned up, however, and... Well, Korra was more than a little unsettled with the biology of the thing. It just felt super-wrong and weird. Like. Weirder than the spirit world. That took talent.

Outside, however, scraps of metal were more plentiful. It took some exploring, but eventually she had what she felt like was enough. She brought them back to where Angie was, and set to trying to shape them into crude containers, and with some time and patience, welded them together with some firebending. In the end, they were super-ugly patchwork giant metal cups, but they sat upright and could hold water, and that's all that mattered.

After all that, she hefted the things up via bending, and toted them around to try and find a water source. This was a bad idea, however, because even when bending, carrying big hunks of metal can get tiring. So when she finally finds a water source, she drops the things and falls over on the ground to rest for a while - and let her mind wander as to why she's even here. Things finally wound down at home, and now she's caught up in something else. Alone.

Yeah, definitely should have looked around first to find the water, then brought the containers. That would leave less idle time for her mind to wander.
